Myton on Swale is nearly the last place that you can fish on the river Swale before it joins the river Ure, It is classic lower swale country and chub and barbel predominate. that said they can often be elusive.But the Barbel and the Chub do grow big.Other species are roach perch dace bream pike. To get to Myton Grange farm head for Helperby go through the village and after half a mile or so take the first turn to the right signposted Myton, take care as it is a narrow country road, the first farm on the right is Myton Grange farm, turn into the farm park the car in the square, and continue through to the river pay at the honesty box £5 its a short walk to the river. more information
