York is the capital of our county YORKSHIRE and the club represents itself very very well indeed The club is well run and has miles of river in the county, you can fish the Ouse for its big barbel or rove the Nidd in its Mr Crabtree swims, Whatever your fishing requirements in York Anglers will fit the bill, The specialist angler will love this club with miles and miles of river,s with deep pools shallow runs, winter swims,and sheltered runs, York has water on the River Derwent  and the river Foss the Nidd, Ouse, seven and the river Rye. see here for more details of the York and District Amalgamation of Anglers waters. The club was started in 1987 and has more than 1000 members and that includes 20 individual clubs and more than 30 stretches of prime Yorkshire river to fish, making it at £46 one of the most value for money clubs in the whole country.
